ISEDEF COMMAND CHALLENGES ARMY COMPONENT STUDENTS TO SEARCH FOR PREVENTION STRATEGIES AND COMBAT ANY THREAT TO TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY AND NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY

The command function “translates into the exercise of the authority that is conferred on a soldier to direct, coordinate and control forces, units and establishments” holding the authority conferred by laws and regulations. This is what the Deputy Commander for Academic and Civic-Patriotic Education of the Higher Institute of Defense Studies “Lieutenant-General Armando Emílio Guebuza” says. Brigadier Moisés Cau, who was speaking in Mabenga district of Namaacha, Maputo Province, during practical classes for the Promotion to Senior Officer course, made a positive assessment of the students' interpretation of the Horizon rotation.

For students on the Senior Officer Promotion Course, they believe that they are acquiring responsibilities that cannot be delegated, using available resources to plan, direct, coordinate and control the use of forces in carrying out the missions that will be assigned.

The practical classes that took place in Mabenga were attended by students from the army component attending the Senior Officer promotion course.
